He pulled it off because the lately the D'Backs may as well be using whiffle bats and their 3 errors gave 2 unearned for the fish while Johnson was pitching. Freakin' D'Backs need to kick it into gear.

How do you figure? Since Kim was traded to Boston he has been their closer. They are using him.

Busta - i figure because I watch baseball tonight and sportscenter every night. And kim did have two starts. And yes he has 6 saves, but he has been mostly used as a setup man.

            Trading deadline has arrived.

Giants get Sidney Ponson from Baltimore in exchange for Kurt Ainsworth, Damien Moss, and a minor leaguer

Red Sox get Jeff Suppan, and Sauerbeck, and give up Freddy Sanchez and a minor leaguer to Pirates

Yankess get Aaron Boone. Robin Ventura goes to LA. Reds get two minor league pitchers.

No, it has been reported that Williamson will set up Kim.

No, he's been used as the 'relief ace'. Maybe not the traditional closer role, but in the best role for him, like Bill James wishes relief aces to be used. A lot of time he does the 9th, but depending on the situation, maybe not.

Hey, Atlanta is a great hitting team (they have more HRs than Boston).. but Boston does have the better offense.
Give the Braves a 9th batter instead of a pitcher, the numbers will be a lot closer, now won't they?

                          Not close enough .

These leads are incredible, especially the 10 points in batting average and on base percentage, and the 20 points in slugging.

Remember, these Red Sox have one of the best team batting averages in years. They have a shot at being the first team to have a .300 average in over 50 years!

A non-pitcher can make up 121 total bases easily.

                            47 runs? not hard.

Averages are a little harder to figure, but it would be closer, guaranteed.

Besides, Boston hasn't gone into it's September tailspin yet. They won't reach .300.

The Braves started horribly and have improved. Their tailspin doesn't start until the playoffs.
