  • What recent movies are worth seeing?

I'm trying to expand my home movie library so why not share with me which recent movies you liked. It can be out on video or still in theaters; it really doesn't matter.

      Phone Booth is pretty good.

      ACK!

Well I've heard great things about Pirates of the Carribean so far. I haven't seen it though.

A lot of recent movies lately have just plain sucked. Well at least all I have seen. I heard that Pirates movie isn't too bad.. I haven't seen it though. Don't see League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, as it is awful.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

              Downloaded and already watched it.

Pirates of the C. sounds pretty good. I've seen Matrix reloaded but Phone booth is one I forgot about. I'll have to watch that one tonight.

I like how you can find the recent and popular movies but I also like old silent movies and they seem to be very hard to find on the net. I imagine most of the teenagers on Kazaa don't know who Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keating were.

                    Ummmmm, that's Keaton.......

Benny and Joon, Johnny Depp does a lot of stuff Buster used to do, and he's very good at it.

Solaris just came out on video/DVD... it was good, especially if you liked ****ed up Sci-fi movies.

I'd also add recommendations for PiratesOTC, Matrix Reloaded, and even Bad Boys II if you don't mind senseless violence and cliche buddy-guy humor.

                        Seabiscuit

the only thing worse than horse-racing is a movie about it starring Tobey Maguire...
To us, it is the BEAST.

I think I might be the only one alive who likes the Hulk.

X Men 2 was great, too.

Nah, some movie critics like it. IMO, it sucked horribly. All the action was in the previews. And Sam Elliot's neatly trimmed mustache really mesmerized me.
