    Not much hard drive space.

Albert, if you dont want to run games or the latest tech, just wanna do usual home/office stuff, plus connect to the internet, yours is plenty good enough.

On the other hand, mine is 2.8Ghz Pentium IV, 512 MB DDRRAM, 128 MB Geforce IV MX440, 60GB HDD.

          P4 1700
          235 MB SDR :O(
          40 GD HDD
          GeForce 2 :O(
          19' monitor
          5:1 Dolby card/speakers
          DVD CD Burner

and a laptop that still gets plenty of use

          150 Mhz
          24 MB
          1.3 GB HDD
          CD Rom

If it runs the software you want to run then it's up to date enough, having said that my GeForce 2 is living on borrowed time!

Gaming (giving to bro for college in Sept):
                Built by myself
                Athlon XP 2100+
                1GB DDR333 (KT333 chipset)
                GeForce 4 Ti4600 (128MB RAM)
                100GB HD (8MB cache)
19" Trinitron CRT monitor (soon to be 17" LCD)

Virtually noiseless general-use computer in my room:
                Dell Dimension 4100
                Pentium III 800MHz
                384MB RAM
                80GB HD
                GeForce 3
                19" Trinitron CRT monitor

                Parents' computer:
                Dell Dimension XPS T600
                Pentium III 600MHz
                512MB RAM
                40GB HD
                Radeon 7500 (64MB)
                19" Trinitron CRT monitor

Coming next week, my new laptop:
                IBM ThinkPad T40
                1.5GHz Pentium M (1MB L2 cache)
                768MB RAM
                40GB HD
                7h real-world batterylife
                1" thick, 4.5lbs
                Titanium casing (shock-absorbed HD)
                14.1" screen
802.11b wireless (dual antennas built into back of screen)
                Bluetooth

And in November, my new gaming computer:
                Custom-built
                3.4GHz Pentium 5
                1GB DDR400 RAM
                i875-based chipset
                2 x 150GB 7200rpm HD (8MB cache, RAID 0)
Radeon 9800 Pro (256MB), or perhaps the new R420 coming out soon.

                          What?

The Pentium 4 is already the longest-surviving brand-name Intel has ever had, Prescott is most likely going to be branded the Pentium 5.

October 28th is the launch date.

I would normally keep it, it's still quite fine for gaming.

But my bro needs a computer for college, and if I ditch that one (which is noisy as all hell), I can get a new Pentium 5.
