Civ can be a great educational tool. But the ONLY educational tool? I find that hard to believe.

Soon all the world's governments will turn fundamentalist and nuclear war will be declared.

A worrying revelation which seems to happen at the end of every civ2 game

Build your city, tend your farm; but you better have a military so the other Civ doesn't make your Civ history.

Yes, the game of Civ mirrors life.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Instead of wasting time going out and discovering what the world looks like and what your oppenents are up to, you can just load your partial map into your laptop and voila! all will be revealed!

I've learned that fortified pikemen inside a fortress on a mountain can destroy even the most modern of battleships.

Esp if they had gold or gems on them! Lots of tax or production all kept safe with a fortified phalanx! (Until crusaders anyway)

I watched a guy spend damned near the whole game attacking one of my mountain cities.
Other cities all around, but this guy was on a mission.
                                Costly mission.
