Bob Hope Dead at 100

From World War II to Desert Storm, Hope flew into battle zones to entertain the troops. He remains the only American civilian to be named an honorary veteran of the U.S. armed forces.

What can I say about Bob Hope. He made me laugh. He was a celebrity that used his fame to bring laughter to men and women who had been torn from their homes and sent around the world. One of the few that actually earned his fame.

Even toward the end, Hope's sense of humor never failed him. His daughter said that when Dolores Hope asked her husband where he wanted to be buried, he always said, "Surprise me."

A true good guy.

Married to the same gal longer then most of us will live, was totally apolitical (friends with presidents from all parties, he didn't care about that), a star on stage, radio, movies and tv.
