Isn't it absolutely true anyway ?

But this was like taking candy from a baby .

Armstrong is from Austin, right? Anyway, the tour is real big here, as is cycling in gerneral (i got my damn mountain bike stolen ), its a big industry, in all its forms, legit and... not....

Anyway, my uncle, who was an alternate on the 84 (or 80...?) olympic team (he helped a guy in front of him up, after he fell, and got passed up by a bunch of ****ers... oh well, even tho he didnt compete, he was a better cyclist than a good portion of that team) goes with his buddies, who are all big bike buffs, to a sports bar here in Austin where it was the main event. Thats not real suprising tho... i mean, what else are they gonna watch, baseball?
Anyone here could pick Lance out of a busy subway station, tho im not suprised that the diner waitress didnt recognise him, cycling just isnt that major of a sport in the US, overall

Yep, congrats Lance, but I too hope too see someone else win next year.

Ullrich deserves a second one too (he really should prepare better.)

Damn, I'm gonna fall in a black hole tomorrow now that the Tour is finished

He only needs to win one more then he can retire on top and let other people have a turn.

Sure. Common knowledge. At least in Texas.

Nah, 5 is enough, he shouldn't go into the history books as the single best ever.

He's good, very good, just not that good.

( and the fact that he won't even race in the WC in Canada is part of not being the one too btw )

He was a domestique for LeMond back in the day, IIRC.

edit: Upon further inspection, I don't think this is true. Armstrong raced for Motorola while LeMond was on some French team.
