So far there's been no proof he colluded with the people who took the video and posted it on the net, so he didn't consent to his new found fame/notoriety.

How many of you would like private information, or video footage, or emails posted for all the world to doctor or adulterate or jazz up? Are you tacitly saying its all right for someone to enter your place of work or residence, sample whatever private information you have and then send it to the widest audience possible?

If so, I look forward to the Apolyton Files with glee, as I'm sure all of you calling Ghislain a fat geek are real adonises in peak physical condition....
You know what. There's a virtue called acceptance. It means that you realise that weird things may happen to you and that the best way to deal with them is to try and live with them the best way you can.

I don't suppose that any of us would voluntarily put movies of ourselves doing lightsabers up on the net, but if it was me I'd say, "man, it sucks being caught" and deal with it. People for the most part don't consent to notoriety, but the notorious still have to deal with it.

In this case the notoriety is almost all good. Everyone I've talked to feels sorry for him, but they don't hold him in contempt, since he's just like everyone else really only he got caught.

Anyway, for a real Star Wars movie, check this out

Secondly, your "you just have to suck it up and deal with it" is complete bull****.

That kid is humiliated for the rest of his life.

Put yourself in his shoes and see how YOU DEAL WITH IT JACKASS.

Though, I did find the video hilarious.

Not in the way we'd feel sorry for the guy whose home bestiality movie was put on the net.

Still... both cases is an obvious invasion of privacy, wouldn't you say?

                    I agree with you Imran.

They are both invasions of privacy.

I was told that those cell phones with cameras are banned in Korea. Any Koreans confirm this?

I don't think he can have an expectation of privacy since he made the film in a public place using the school's equipment.

Right. The title of this thread suuure doesn't hold him in contempt. I'm sure everyone would like to be known as a dork.

What you're esaying is that his consent is irrelevant, his private life is irrelevant, and his schoolmates get off scot free.

If he had chosen to publish the video himself (like all those scary people with homepages out there) then I'd say fine, he takes the consequences. But this isn't something that 'happened' to him (nice of you to make it impersonal, as if the video posted itself on the web, without any human agency) accidentally.

Perhaps you also approve of those people that put spycams in public lavatories too. I mean, we all use lavatories, it just sucks being caught, right?

                          F ucking bull**** dude.

I would GUARANTEE if you were in his shoes you wouldn't be saying this ****.

Celebrities sue people all the time for the use of their images for FAR less worse uses of their images and they usually win. The reason why? Because your image is SUPPOSED to be protected.

                          This kid was downright humiliated.

This poor kid doesn't have the power or the money to defend himself.

Hey Agathon, let's take a picture of you sucking your own d1ck and put it on the net for everyone and see how "grown up" and a "good sport" you are then.

Man, the guys who posted it had to commit a frigging crime to lay their hands on it.

That's open and shut. They had no right to the use of the video. Period.

They committed burglary. Now they have to deal with the civil consequences.

He'll take them for as much as he can. Good luck to him.

Oh, evil people, sue them to death. Frankly the courts have better things to do.

And he wasn't sucking his own ****. And yes somebody sent me that picture. Ugh!

Anyway, have you guys seen the Crewoftwo film? That sets new standards for a school movie project.

So you think if something is locked in a cabinet, it is still a 'public place'?
