Nah, you don't get it. I was trying to say- "who do you think voted for Russia?".
    Guess who?

Most of the russian beers are godawful, sorry Serb. In my 5 year stay I drank only one halfway passable. It was a microbrew (surprise, surprise) somewhere in the swamps between Leningrad and Moscow. Near Kryukovo, btw. . Its name was "Yachmennyj Kolos" and after the piss we usually had it tasted really good. We smuggled masses of it in the camp and drank it at evenings.

Also a special place in my heart still have the beers from the open air beer kiosks, which we had every Sunday 10-11am, regardless of the weather. I remember days, when we had them at -25° to -30°C and had to drink fast or else the beer would have frozen in the glasses.

Yup, this poll is lacking. World's best beers come from Czech Rep. and Belgium.

I remember this piss, it's the same sh!t as "Zhigulevskoe". Soviet beers really suked. They were nowhere near than modern Russian beers.

I somehow expected, that things would have changed. The last time I was in Siberia (in Novosibirsk), I didn't drink any beer, only vodka and russian champagne, which is also pretty good.

Btw: I remember Zhigulevskoe... :vomit: (I miss this smiley )

EDIT: Btw, the best drink in Russia is not beer or vodka, but Kvas. Oj how I miss it. I didn't see it yet in any other country, only in Russia. It's definitely the best thing to drink on a hot day (like now here).

So many good beer nations left out... I refuse to vote!
Some great beers from countries not included:

                Carnegie Porter (Sweden)
                Radegast (Czech Rep.)
                Carlsberg Porter (Denmark)
                Pripps Blå (Sweden)
                Purkmistr (Czech Rep.)

Good beers for hot summer days or for just getting drunk:

                Blågul (Sweden)
                Lapin Kulta (Finland)
                Norrlands Guld (Sweden)
                and many more

                Mmm... beer...

Actually, when I was in Wyoming a couple of years ago I tried a few local beers and one of them was actually very good. Can't remember the name though. Too bad all the exported American beers are like making love in a canoe

                        mmmmmmmmmmmmm beer.

Who cares? I like some from everywhere, but I have never had a beer I didn't like from Germany...

I have had some pretty nasty stuff from the US, Canada, and Mexico though...

                        Just going with consistency here.

                          British.

I thought we were talking about beer by the way, not lager.

Ale isn't beer either - but they're all close enough to class as the same stuff.

"Lager" is a commercial term invented in the UK. Outside the UK it means bugger all.
