Fashion rarley works well in real life, with real people. Most of us doesn't live our lifes in a music video and thus fashion statements often look like ****.

I'm getting really tired of butt cracks and/or seeing womens underwear due to the low cut of most pants. It just doesn't look good. Another thing is this trend that has been ongoing for years now amoungst girls and younger women to show the area around the navel. This might be cool if you have a flat tummy, but how many girls have that, at least when they've reached puberty?

I guess it's fashionable to look like a loser...

some parents have to get more involved in their kids' lives
I don't know what to say, but that right there is the source of many of the problems with America these days... not just fashion

There is difference between being sexual on purpose and overdoing it, and other things.

Yes there is. Well ... for your example of this girl I guess you really had to be there. It's impossible for me to understand how she was behaving without having seen it. I'll just take your word for it that she was way out line and leave it at that.

It's getting late here and I'm tired and grumpy. Does it show?

          FrustratedPoet, Nah, no problem .

But yeah, I'm not talking about little crack, I'm talking about the whole crack, from start to beginning, no underwear. I'm talking about XXX stuff. _everything_ was at display, and if she would have moved more, I could have saw her genitalia as well, I'm sure.
This was right next to the store, outside when it was busy time and lots of poeple there... It wasn't little sexy dressing, it was full porn man.. . And although I'ma big fan of women and all that.. it just wasn't right.

I would NOT complain if she was few years older, but she was a bit young you know. And there's my beef, underaged women dressing like that. You can't even buy jeans like that, you have to modify them to have that 'full access' look.
          In da butt.

I'd complain if she was a few years older. Well maybe not complain, but express disaproval. Obviously the fashion is to attract men, but do women know what kind of man they are attracting with that kind of fashion (ie, the in it for a one-night stand type of guy)? If they do, why do they do it?

I guess some people figure bad attention is better then no attention.

I look forward to seeing beautiful old-fashioned posterior-revealing costumes when I am old.

Back in my day, we didn't have DVD's - we had VHS!! And we LIKED IT!

We didn't have these high-falutin' computers either. We had to use telephones just like everyone else!

And another thing, this music you kids listen to these days is just DREADFUL! Where's my Cypress Hill CD? I want my Cypress Hill!

Where's my medication? My glaucoma is acting up again.

Reading this thread reminded me that my 15 year old cousin returned from the US yesterday in glee that she had persuaded her parents to spend what I think is around $1000 on a Christian Dior handbag.

Why is it that in the wealthiest nation in the world people want to dress like street urchins?

In Britain it's especially fashionable to dress one class below yourself right now. For some reason.
