I'd be interested to see the arguments you use!

Arguements? Arguements are for the weak! I am about to troll the **** out of that forum.
Haven't done it yet, though.
Well then...I guess that I would like to see some of the responses. This could be really interesting and telling. Go Azazel!

It's like an elite martial arts school. We fight, and hone our skills.
I have yet to actually venture on to any other OT forums, but I visit a lot of gaming forums that are borderline chaos. They are ruled by weak Admins and Mods. My mission will be to find another OT forum and spread something, be it love, chaos, or something creamy (like peanut butter), Im not yet sure.
The idiocy starts with the original poster completely misinterpreting the meaning of the thing he's referring too and goes rapidly downhill from there.
Yay Poly! We are so clever!

anyway, yes this seems like fun. You must differentiate between the ignorant imbecils that can be cured, and the fortified rock-hard *******s, that are hopeless in their mudslinging.
I've heard that SDMB is of higher intelligence than apolyton. is this true?

Actually, Azazel I think you'll find that you missed the capital letters from "apolyton" and "is". All proper nouns and words at the beginning of sentences must have upper-case letters. Furthermore, you should have inserted "the" before "SDMB" in order for it to be grammatically correct.

Yes, those clever people have a vB forum that explicitly prohibits the editing of posts and many of the members feel the need to point out simple typos in posts made by other people, sometimes several pages on in a thread (really, I've seen it more than once).
Other notable threads include: **** You "Guy who served me at the Deli" Tell me how to raise my kid Ask the bored soccer mom How do I give a good blowjob? JohnT's thread he'll shortly copy/paste onto Apolyton I'm so cultured that I like this movie or book lots of other people hate
Yup, it's a real bastion of intelligence.
I'm exaggerating, but only slightly. Of course, this forum is no better.

When I first came here in 1998 (good lawd) I used to engage in long, well thought out debates but now it's just alot easier to come up with one-liners.
Though I agree the level of debate here is one of the best I've seen and highly intelligent.
We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. - Abraham Lincoln
I noticed a lot more circle-jerking at SDMB. "Why are Dopers so damned smart, and why is everybody else so stupid" threads were a pretty common occurrence, and contained not a whit of irony.
Plus, I like JohnT's copy-pasting. It saves me the trouble of looking for the golden nuggets in that gargantuan forum.
