    I like pragmatic people.

So do I, which is why I like Maher and Miller. I like people who choose the most effective solution to a problem, regardless of whether or not it affects their "cred."

Miller is pragmatic I suppose, but he's too stupid to have good solutions. Dennis is the kind of guy that jumps to a conclusion without examining alternatives and thinking things through. I suspect Maher actually CARES about America's problems, while Miller just tries to get attention and fame from pretending he does.
To us, it is the BEAST.

I personally could care less of any comedians political point of view. If it is funny, I laugh... if not I turn it off.

I watch comedians for laughs... not to learn "The ways of the world".

I prefer Chris Rock anyway , as a standup comedian.

And the political satirists like Stewart and to a lesser degree Kilborn, are much better than most. They don't take themselves seriously when going for the laughs.

It's a pretty good HBO special.

even if you don't agree with his politics, I recommend it.

I especially like his views on the feminization of america. I think I had a thread about that here on Apolyton, I took a lot of heat on that one . It's not good to say that men being femine is bad I guess.

I like dirty comedy too. His comedy does have a lot of bad words and sex talk in it. But I've always liked that kind of comedy.

He's more anti-religious than I like. But I can't blame him. I grew up with the catholic influence like him. And the catholic church is pretty strange.

"religion is so gay" He basically says "you're there on your knees in front of another man with your mouth open" I never thought of it that way .

I can't even go into how he descibes how men's fantasies are mutual with women's fantasies . That wouldn't be permitted at apolyton.

A lot of good quotes in that special. I should have wrote some of them down.

dennis miller is funny too. i like him.

i don't turn to comedians to help me decide either. nor do i turn to politicians, radio personalities, television personalities, or movie stars.
deciding personal politics is precisely that: a personal exercise.
