  • Gays to get own reality TV show

So what do you think? Is getting a reality TV show another step for equality? Will straight guys actually be able to pass themselves off as gay?

    Thoughts?

As far as the "reality" dating show: Abso-f*cking-lutely disgusting and abhorant. Mixing in straight guys with the gays is neither cute nor funny. Assuming for a moment that this program is genuinely UNscripted - Though, is anyone really dumb enough to honestly believe it isn't? - then what if the lead gay guy ends up choosing a straight suitor? He may laugh it up with everyone else (all the way to the bank), but guess what he'll be feeling inside. That's right: like a used condom. Totally f*cked. To be so blatantly exploited like that is shameful.

Which is why it is fortunate this is, like all "reality" gameshows, scripted from day one to final episode. Nothing is left to chance and no one is blind-sided...except the guillable public that laps this sh*t up.

        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As far as the "Fashion Emergence" -type show featuring a cast of 5 gay men, each with individual areas of "expertise"...

Ugh, when with the concept of ORIGINALITY return to Hollywood, replacing Rehash-of-the-same-old-sh*t TV?

It's really a condescending try for equality. Definitely disgusting.

This is awful... what the hell?

This concept is the most stupid they could think of... now this will really get stereotypes going..

Not that this doesn't happen with reality shows featuring striaght people. NBC recently had a reality show(didn't watch it except for the last 15 mins of the last episode) where apparently a bunch of women compete for a guy- and whoever gets the guys then gets to choose between a million dollars for herself or splitting the money with the guy and marrying him- except the guy doesn't know about the $1 million being involved. The woman ended up taking the money for herself. I think humiliation and degradation are already part of reality TV for straights, so I guess this an odd form of equality that gays get it too.

All 'reality TV' -shows are scripted, that's not a big secret, in here at least.

That show is going to introduce us further stereotypes of male homosexuals, and the proles who are stupid enough to watch that kind of brainwash will surely swallow it fully -- but that's nothing new under our sun, is it?

Not that I'll be tuning in, but I guess it's OK so long as they don't ask the New Jersey Man - Boy Love Club to participate.

I feel like I already live in a gay reality show. One is plenty enough.
