I find umbrellas to be extremely flimsy - they may keep out a gentle shower but howling gales always trash them.

Hmm... maybe there's a gap in the market for a heavy duty, windproof umbrella... any takers?

I´m always annoyed by people who hold their umbrellas so against the rain that they cannot see the way they´re going any longer. You always have to take care that they do not collide with you

You seem to spend very little time outside of buildings

                btw.
                yes, I use umbrellas.

It´s just to useful, if you spend a longer time in the Open.
And especially in Germany it sometimes tends to rain very hard

Of course I do. In the 5 days every year it actually rains here.

That's what you get for living in the desert.

                    Oh wait.........

Seriously, though, in the last years it has been raining much more, and the winters have become much colder, with the summers being hotter. I LOVE climate change.

                          No.

I use a pocket watch because I don't like wristwatches. I always end up taking them off and leaving them places. I finally bought a pocket watch after years of not using a watch at all.

I use a fountain pen because they simply work better than other styles of pens and generate better ink flow. I currently use a Parker I bought for 50 bucks, so it isn't as if I'm top of the range.

I don't use cartridges either. Straight from the bottle.

I love pocket watches. My parents had a very fine one engraved for me for a graduation present.

But I've just stop wearing watches all together. When I was working, the phone had a clock, the wall had a clock, my computer had a clock, my car had a clock...

I'm sleazier than that. I buy ten dollar ones from a stall. I don't trust myself with a good one.

Anyway, in Toronto there seems to be a watchmakers' conspiracy. There are virtually no visible clocks; even in university rooms! It's an outrage and an excuse for being late.

Yep, I also seldom carry watches now.
I´ve got a wristwatch, but, as my PDA also has a watch included and most of the times I carry my PDA with me, I have no reason to use the wristwatch
