Waaa Waaa Waaa. It was over 114 here yesterday and has been around that all week. I don't want to hear how you think it's hot somewhere else.

Eh... It's really not that awful. Stay inside during the day if it's possible and go out at night. The only time it bugs me is driving home from work. My air conditioning isn't too great in my old crappy car

It's been 115 degrees F (46.1 Celcius) for the last week or so here. And don't tell me that is dry heat. I live in a city which uses massive amounts of water, and has many, many golf courses. Our humidity was 28%, enough to drive the heat index well over 120 F making my city the hottest spot in the United States.

but I don't want to be whining here. I'm used to the heat actually. I grew up in the desert. I also spent time in Florida, and swampy areas of Mississippi. I have been inside a nuclear reactor compartment 15 minutes after shut down. I can take any type of heat you throw at me.

Damn right, We get a super typhoon heading to Hong Kong, which means they normally shut down the city, and it arrives at night. Complete waste of time. If it hit during the day, we would have had the day off.

It's been 34C here for a few days. Just finally cooled off.

It's worse than most places in the southern US though, because 99% of houses here don't have airconditioned.

It was 85F+ upstairs in my house for 3 days straight.

No wonder. Folks in Calgary figure air conditioning is some commie plot: "Man, I don't want my air conditioned. We's Albertan. We take it like it is.

It just doesn't make much sense, there's like 2 weeks every year where Air Conditioning is useful.
