  • Ari Fleischer loses his mind

I'd swear this is a Bushism, but it's not. This came from the guy who is supposed to be the eloquent one who speaks for President Malapropism:

"It is up to those who don't believe Hussein had WMDs to tell us where those weapons are."

Dear lord, I never cared for the guy, but he never really sounded like his boss until now. Homeboy is quitting at just the right time.

That's funny, and even funnier if he really said it.

It seems stupid, but I think I get his logic.

          His point seems to be:

There are weapons that we know existed once, and are now unaccounted for.

We claim that Saddam hid them and continued to possess them.

If you claim otherwise, show us where the weapons have gone, instead.

Which remains illogical. We don;t have to show were the weapons have gone. All we have to do is argue what else might have happened to them, hence they are not there to be found (were never replenished so they deteriorated to uselessness, were destroyed, so forth).

If the weapons aren't there, regardless of where they went, then how could we claim we're going to war to stop Hussein from threatening the world with his weapons that now aren't there?

I thought we believed that people are innocent until proven guilty, why force the anti-war camp to prove that the weapons did not exist at the start of the war when clearly the burden of proof is on the Bush side.

Sorry, I paraphrased. Doesn't change the fact that Ari has blown a gasket or three. When was he gonna leave, anyway?

                          The actual phrase was:

"I think the burden is on those people who think he didn't have weapons of mass destruction to tell the world where they are."

                            which still makes zero sense...

if those people didn't think the weapons existed, then they wouldn't be able to tell the world where the weapons are in the first place.

Does the website have the right answer written upside down at the bottom or something?

                              Is the answer Syria?
