      Some people, Fez being one of them, take those threads far too seriously, though. Personally, I don't care enough about these people to get angry at them.

        I even like Fez, despite the fact that he threatened to throw me out of a helicopter.
        I feel the same way(although I'm not so sure about the Fez thing ) I am definately addicted. The attraction here is that there are so many different points of view and people can get passionate about them. Hard to find anywhere these days.

            Fez? You saw his photos, yes? It looks like a chicken can peck him to death.

                  No, Spiffor. It's a Math thing.

                  Ok, Jon, here's one for you, One that I didn't solve.

                  We have an equation in the La-place (sp?) form:

                  d2u/d2x+d2u/d2y=0

                  find u(x,y) or u(r,teta)
                  outside the circle x^2+y^2=4.

                  with u(x,y) on the circle's edge u(x,y)=y

                  u(r-->infitnity)=0

                  write u as a function of (x,y) or as a function of (r,teta).

                    From your exam, yeah? Anyway, what is that La-place (sp?) form - must know it under a different name.

                      A Second degree partial differential equation describing a static field.

                      the equation is always the same:

                      d^2u/dx^2+d^2y/dy^2=0

                        Ah, thanks. Quick answers, BTW .

                        Heck, you sound like a pro... also given that you could understand that stuff I posted in impersonation thread.
