That is a very dangerous organisation. Take my word for it.
There is a kernal of truth to a lot of the stuff they do to help people. Hubbard was an accomplished researcher/writer. He has borrowed many good ideas and repackaged them in his own unique language.
However, the organisation itself is diseased, and dangerous. It took on cult like qualities a long time ago, and like some other cults, the members can go to some lengths to 'protect' the Church from enemies within and without.
And that's all I'll say on the matter.(\__/)
