  • Horsie's 10th wedding anniversary: 2 July

That's big. Mrs Horse and I have actually staggered through 10 years as husband and wife. Not bad going by today's standards. The woman is well on her way to sainthood for living with me that long.

Had a big fight last night

We're ordering in Chinese tonight and are going to eat it with the 4 little people who wouldn't be here today if we hadn't stayed together all those years ago.

Marriage has its good and bad points but at least you feel like you are getting somewhere in life - especially watching the boys grow up and start to make their own lives. That's cool.

The best things in life take work, and patience and time.

Okay, we made about one baby every 2 and half years so we should have about 8 kids by 2013.

Um, with great respect to Mrs Horse, whom I've met, and is lovely - and as patient as buggery for the obvious reason - I think she now could officially be called a mare. If for no other reason than the words Horse and filly in the same sentence conjure up images of his earlier days under saddle and I suspect none of us want to go there.

Oh, and well done, Mrs Horse, for putting up with him for all this time. Move over, Mother Theresa.

I can only express words of admiration for your wife. I should ask how does she do it?

Marriage helps you to understand women.

Take last night for example. Mrs Horse was quite friendly all night but then suddenly got very upset and I still don't know why

After being together for about 12 years I still don't know where I stand.

                    Well, that isn't quite true

Congrats, Horse. The missus and I are hitting our ninth year this August. Which is nothing compared to my grandparents' 72 years of marriage.

Which way would you like me to answer that?
