"I've been to Utsjoki in Lappland."

Maybe that's where I ended up...some sort of hotel/lodge type affair is all I remember, and the bloody sun was up all the time so getting some sleep proved a problem.

OK...Panama is part of North America, so my southernmost bit of NA would be Panama then, not Yucatan.

Maybe, but you got a fair size place to travel around before you get bored...

Talking of boards, wouldn't surfing count as "overseas"?

Oh, I didn't do it continent-by-continent. Sorry. Europe already doen, NA a week in NYC and Iceland with a day trip to Long Island, make of it what you will.

                        Africa:

                        North: Tripoli, Libya
East: (yes, I've changed my mind after detail-studying the map) Quionga, outside Mtwara, in the far south of Tanzania

South: Again, looking at this map, the road close to Mooselbai, South Africa. Proper stop: Port Elisabeth, South Africa.

Checking a map, Tripoli is about 12-13 degrees east, and Cape Town is about 18...works out at about 250 miles, give or take.
