Id capture Archemedes alive(!) and foster his creativty and others too... since a simple steam engine device had already been made durring the Helenistic era (was a novelty device, that opened doors to a temple and little more. didnt catch on because slaves were so common...
), with minds like archemedes Im sure I could eventually be applied toward industry over the next couple centuries, mass producing iron weapons and lorica segmentata... I would recruit Legions up the ass and speacial ones too for forest and mountian combat... and dont forget about hordes of speacialy bread war elephants and Rhinoceroses! not to mention the other billions of helpful applications of the industrial revolution...

Anyways I find the Chinese choice interesting. Imagine creating the industrial age hundres of years ahead of the Europeans. The only problem is the majority of the population is isolationist. So could you really do anything with that high technology?Comment
