But that sounds about right. I do believe my roots are german even though the town is now french.
My aunt has been communicating with them for while trying to figure out our lineage. She's super conservative though, I wonder if she continued talking with them after this thing with the french recently.
But I have german on my father's side as well. They just took an american sounding name when they arrived to the U.S. Then they fell in with that mormon croud.

I'm not exactly sure if I'm french, or german. My blonde hair (well it's not that blonde anymore) would seem to indicate I'm german. I also have native american and English roots in me.
is it safe to call everyone from the english isles and scandanavia Scanglish? They're pretty much the same people when you consider how often the English/Scots/Irish got raped by the Vikings.

well I'm not mormon. My dad wasn't mormon either. He wasn't religious at all. My mom was catholic, but I haven't been inside a catholic church in a long time- and that was only because my girlfriend was catholic. In fact it was my dad's dad who moved from Utah to southern California.

A large black population in the UK at one point that disappeared 100 years later with no noticable emmigration. Based on previous historical data such as the North African legion the Romans stationed in the UK, inter-marriage is the most likely option.Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. i've always seen statistics saying that the largest ethnic groups in america is german, anglo-saxon, and irish.
but the weird thing is, the first two are very rare from my experiences. almost every white person i know (mainly from school and what not) is either irish, italian, or jewish (though i never met a jewish person until high school so they're not too common) with an occasional greek or russian/ukrainian.
so what gives? where's all the anglos and germans at?
As for why you don't see them. Well, As you've said you live in the ghetto and most of the middle and upper classes don't ever want to go to the ghetto so you don't see them.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
