I always play blackjack when I go to Vegas. I actualy ended up making like $100 in Blackjack last time I was there but then you spend $200 on the hotel, $100 of buffets, $150 on night clubs & drinks, etc... The casinos make all the money the give out back and then some.

So you would rather gamble playing blackjack than gamble playing Civ or some other computer game?

What I was saying was that the younger generation don't care much for the slots, or this simple entertainment, when they would much prefer to gamble via gaming, such as 1st person shooters, strategies such as Civilization, RTS's, etc.

How wrong you are . Most young people love to go to the casinos (my brother, or my fellow Law School mates). Who cares about computer games, the gambling is where it is at.

Yes, because the likely hood of meeting or at least seeing a hot peice of ass in a casino is a near certainity while the likely hood of doing the same while playing civ is so small it isn't even worth talking about.

Not to meantion the casinos give free drinks.

Sigh, am I not getting my point across or are you too slow?

Las Vegas, their casino's, turn INTO gaming arenas, so you go to them!

The better you are a player, the more popular/rich you will become, and thus the more girls that will hang around you.

WHY?! You are getting your point across, but it is silly. They are making a killing doing what they are... especially among the younger players!

Everyone understands you clearly. We just think your idea won't be as fun as Vegas is now. I've seen several of thos ehigh end video game places come and go in the last decade. Why pay big bucks for a video game when you can just run them on your computer to your heart's content for next to nothing?

ROFL, so why go to a casino?

                  To make money?

Well if you think you're good enough to beat someone at Civ, then go and make some money!

I'm not talking about the near future either, it would take 20 years or so!

If you are so confindent it will be a money maker then go start your own. I've seen several of these pay per use video game places go bust so that leads me to think there isn't a lot of money in it.

Well I would, but like I said you would need games specifically designed to gambling.
