I'd watch the pretty sub-orbital fireworks display as the US shoots it down, then go to Vancouver 6 or so months later and see if any of the 1.2 billion cooked Chinese had washed ashore for dinner yet!

[Hypothetical] An ICBM from China is going to hit your home in 30 minutes

And how can you be sure that ICBM has nuke? It could be some dumb terrorist that wasn't aware that china has nukes stored on different place than ICBMs.
If it would launched willingly if you aren't from NY W D.C. or LA. You are more or less safe. China haven't as much warheads as US.

Especially given the speed limit is 75 miles per hour once you get significantly South of Denver on the highway, I should be able to get about 45 miles away before the nuke hits its target. Given the lack of developement substancially South of Denver, its highly unlikely that another nuke will hit in the area. Why die when you can get away safely? He's got the Midas touch.

I would shoot it down (I have an old civil war musket). Failing that, I would drive away in a mobile home and laugh at you idiots who only saved your car.
Then, once safe, I would steal someone's boat and floor it to China, Rambo-style. You know what happens next. Give me 5 minutes and it will no longer be China. It will be Wiglaf country. He's got the Midas touch.

You have to assume that if you know, so does everyone else, so the roads will be jammed completely, unless your town has an efective evacuation plan, which is unlikely. To us, it is the BEAST.

I have a question for any nuke experts. I live on the north side of Hong Kong Island. There's an east-west range of hills on the island and the hills are about 400-metres high.
If a US ( ) nuke lands on the south side of the island, do the hills provide any protection from the initial blast?
HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

Now that I think of it, perhaps a better alternative would be to head down to the hospital and steal their helicopter, pick up the girlfriend, and fly away...probably head on to Mexico, get on a jet from there to some remote island in the Pacific...something that's populated, but not worth wasting a nuclear weapon on.

I would think fondly of how LA no longer exists, or won't in a few minutes. That surely will warm my heart (until the nuke does). If you don't like reality, change it! me

Most nukes now are around 1 megaton. So, here's what a 1 megaton nuke does. Creates a fireball with the mininum radius of 450 metres, can be up to 700. Within radius of 2.7 kilometres, it's a very strong blast. Basically, it's near total fatalities for humans and largely destruction of anything there. Within 3.1 kilometres, you get 500 rem ion radiation - guarantees you're dead. Within 7.2 kilometres, destruction is very high - it's unlikely for humans there to survive, it will mostly be rubble there. Finally, 11.7 kilometres is the radius of thermal radiation, resulting in severe burns.
Now, if you can jump into a car and drive 60 km away from your house, you are absolutely safe.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator
