Yeah, this new show is just baaaad. I mean, I'd be pissed even if there was a woman and they had that kind of overt sexuality. I mean, there's just no need for that. This isn't a sex show or anything! It's ridiculous.

If anything, homosexuals should be pissed about it for the images of homosexuals Ren and Stimpy now show.

        Best Episode:

Door to Door Rubber Nipple Salesmen:

They go to the house...the anonymous 'man' character steps out holding a very stressed looking Walrus. It just looks them in the eyes and says 'Call the police...'

        Door closes...

        genius.
        "Wait a minute..this isn''t FAUX dive, it's just a DIVE!"
"...Mangy dog staggering about, looking vainly for a place to die."
"sauna stories? There are no 'sauna stories'.. I mean.. sauna is sauna. You do by the laws of sauna." -P.

Last I heard, the estate of Spike Jones was filling a lawsuit against Spike Lee, claiming it was "disturbing" he was attempting to control the use of the word "spike".

Jones isn't filing a new lawsuit, but filed an interpleader motion, meaning that he is intervening in the current lawsuit, because a decision could cause him harm. So he's basically a third party to the suit.

To tell you the truth, I'm somewhat suprised that the Lee lawsuit wasn't thrown out as frivilous and Lee fined for wasting the Court's time.

Well there is a reason it wasn't. Apparently the IDIOTS at TNN had a memo floating around saying something like 'Spike TV' would be a good idea because of Spike Lee. Totally moronic move. It may not cost them the trial, but it was a boneheaded move.

Any judge with half a brain would see that Spike Lee doesn't have any claim on the word spike. It'd be like me sueing companies for sending out "Bills" by claiming they are trying to lay claim to my name.

Um... any judge with half a brain would also realize that this isn't a lawsuit about who has a claim on the word 'Spike' as well .

This suit is whether TNN is trying to use Spike Lee's persona to make money. Since there is a memo floating around TNN which says this may be the case, he has a valid suit, IMO.

You'll notice he never sued Spike Jones or anyone else... indicating that he (or his lawyers) doesn't really think that he a claim on 'spike'.

Considering the fact that no mention of him appeared in thier commercials, I don't see how a valid case can be made for that memo or no memo.

If he can prove that they were banking on people attributing 'Spike TV' with 'Spike Lee' and thus making money off of him, he might have something.

I don't think he'll win, but he does have some evidence that needs to be looked at.
