Scurvy = chronic shortage of vitamin C.
It can kill - although rare nowadays for it to get that far.
Very common in age of sail.

Beer gets you lotsa B vitimins, but not much else. You'll still get scurvy. At the very least, have a kiwi fruit every day. They're one of the most amazingly nutricious fruits out there. More vitamin C than an orange and more potassium than a banana. Pekka, you need fruits and veggies. I'd say scrap the beer.
