                  the only way for segway to succeed or be useful if for them to replace cars in busy cities.

                  People would supposedly use segways in place of cars to get around. They shouldn't be on the sidewalks.

                  The only way to make them work is to ban cars from city streets or have segway only lanes.

                    Segways aren't as easy as we are led to believe. Does anyone remember the first time they tried to use a floor buffer?
