            I pronounce it with 3 syllables, I think..

            ske-jew-ol

            it's sort of like 2.5 syllables, not really 3, if that makes any sense.

                          According to my hard-back Webster's (c1971):

                          "ske-jewel (no 'd' sound)," she-jewel (no 'd' sound)," and "ske-dyule (no 'j' sound)" are all accepted pronounciations.
