That reminds me of the creationist defence that while all type of bears (for example) may have come from an ancestral bear, they couldn't have come from anything beyond that because you can only change within the species. In other words, bears can change as much as they like, but they were always 'bears'. It's like there's this imaginary invisible line that evolution cannot cross, as it must stop at words like 'bear' and 'horse'Originally posted by GePap
I still wonder about those that advocate for a multiple creation theory: I have never ehard anyone even try to claim for example that all brown bears are not the decendents of one population, but of several pre-brown bears that for some reason all decided to end up as the same species.
