My real name's Anonymous, so you can imagine how much I suck at Minesweeper.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

Anyone can edit the highscore data file for minesweeper under windows 9x. In XP they seem to have hidden it though.

Grrr - you left the capital for HAMILTON?!?!?!

Must I call Frozzy and Sn00py in here to laugh at you?

And I could never get that Minesweeper cheat to work...

My best scores suck, but I don't play that often. 311 on expert.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I rarely win at expert, because there is always an element of luch even in late game, and because I'm not automated enough not to think at all when playing minesweeper.

The few times I won at expert, it's a 600+

Didn't mean you but the person who made the cheat (unless that is you of course )

The minesweeper "cheat" isn't really a cheat. It's just editing the text file that holds the high score table.

I think there are tools that help you play as well: automatically mark bombs and open tiles that can't contain bombs, etc.

Pretty pathetic indeed if you actually use such tools...
