Not impressed. Potentially more interested in Rogue Nation.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

If you're not interested then it must be good.

It's not anything I haven't seen in other books before. You just like it because of the cute cover photo.

Tariq Ali is generally a really good writer.
I do not doubt that, but I have a real fancy about obscure books that are out of fashion (I don't know anyone having heard of Burnham except myself).

Btw, Burnham was a member of the American SWP, until 1939. Was that the official Trotskyist Party of the time? Any connections with the modern SWP in Britain?

I'm always baffled that pro-war people seem not to care a bit about how Bush usage of the Americ-blessing God is similar to OBL's usage of Jihad-leading God.

To prove how better it is than Islamists, America would be well advised to drop all references to God in its warlike propaganda. Just my two cents.

            True!

From this side of the pond it is very weird to hear all the references to God Bush makes. If he would truly believe half of that he would be a really crazy fundy. Good thing it is about oil really
