    Hmmm...I got a job offer that is close to six figures but I'm probably not going to take it. Funny thing is, nearly all of you have more education than me.

              This is something I don't understand. I mean, you've got that job lined up - so why not take a permanent job, work it for a couple of weeks, then walk into your new job?

              Sure, that employer will be angry with you - but hey, go where the money is. If employers offer long term contracts, health benefits and profit share, they got loyalty. When they don't (and most don't) they get treated like the arseholes they are.

              Be ruthless when it comes to employment.

              As for the gf thing, I know it hurts but get your perspectives sized up. Once your 18 (I assume you are not) then having a chat with the bank about the shortfall could help you out. I say could - banks are unpredictable, but it does no harm to ask.

                    Ah, I don't want them to be. It doesn't feel right to do that... I've seen others do that when I've been working. It's a pain.

                          There's a fine line between crime and survival.

                          What I am suggesting is not criminal, and is a vital part of survival in a world where the employer holds all the cards. If you are not old enough to be that ruthless, fair enough. If you had a wife and kids to consider, you wouldn't think twice about it, would you?

                              You say that and you don't even know the evils I'd be managing. The funny thing is, the job will probably have some human resources stuff attached to top it off. Even funnier is that I've been rejected by a girl for being too nice of a guy.
