Soviet version says that Ulyanov changed his name to Lenin, because he was hidding from police on bank of "Lena" river. He did spend some time living in forest near bank of this river when cops were looking for him, but unofficial version says different. It says that he changed his name because of woman whose name was "Lena" (Helen). And "Lenin" on Russian means- "Lena's man" (Helen's man, the guy of Helen)but what does Lenin mean?

Soviet version says that Djugashvili changed his name to 'Stalin" because he was like steel and had great tolerance to physical pain. Between Stalin and Khrushev there was Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria- the cheif of NKVD. After death of Stalin he took the power, but was arrested after few days by group of generals and later shot as "enemy of the people". Ironic.Comment
