      Man, that'd be annoying.
If I wanted the pages I had open when I'd "closed" the window, I'd have just minimized it or sent it to another desktop!

I know, I've been keeping tabs on it for quite some time (and monolith's).

Huh? Your rants suggest that you have a good grasp of MDI/MTI. Are you trolling?

If there's a power outage when I am using Opera, I know that when the power is restored I will be able to continue my surfing where I left off.

I only have 512 mb of RAM, so I close Opera before starting any resource-intensive games and am greeted by my familiar sites when I come back.

I am traditionalist when it comes to shutting down the computer, so the feature is really convenient.

Opera conveniently places a Close All command in the context menu of the Pagebar, so preventing an undesirable resurrection is a piece of cake.

Besides, this is an optional feature. You can set any number of homepages you want in Opera; I just don't.

Opera = blank, I've got everything I want conveniently bookmarked anyway.
IE at home = MegaTokyo (it's my brother's choice, I only use IE at home to play the arcade games at CGN )
IE at work = company homepage
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.
