    Nah, I mean browsers have become so commoditized nowadays it doesn't really matter.

          I think you're grasping at straws. When a struggling business says they're going to "evaluate the value" of a division, particularly a division as useless as Netscape, they'll most likely cut funding.

          It doesn't make sense for a struggling company to keep spending money on a division "just in case". There are other options if for some reason they can't use IE, like KHTML, Opera, etc.

          I guarantee you they'll either try to sell the Netscape division or just can everyone in it.
