  • A chapter closes

As a chapter in my life closes, I am moving off to Cal State University: North Ridge... on my own for the first time. Independent. I am excited for it and am happy but will miss my parents who have so respectively have helped me through my younger years. I cannot wait for this new era in my life of independence and tough decisions. I hope I am prepared for it because I am never a quitter.

I am proud to tell you, I look forward to trying to attend that meeting that will take place in California amongst posters here. I look forward to my future and am glad I have the opportunity here to speak to so many other people of different backgrounds, religions, and nationalities.

Despite all of our differences, it has been great posting here. Don't worry I am not leaving. I will be posting minimally in several weeks from now for about a month - two months as I won't have my computer but I do intend to return after then.

My .02 cents on this new chapter of my life opening.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Advice... School work comes first, then party hardy.

Enjoy college as much as you can, because when it's all done, you have to join the real world. And trust me, college life is easier and more fun
