  • Alf Poier is my new hero

Curse the evil gods for me missing his Eurovision performance! Luckily I managed to download a video of him performing his song in the Austrian finals. He was robbed of his victory, I tell you, robbed! 6th place is not enough! I was particularily enthralled by the younger back-up singer and her moshing.

Clearly this man has shown the way. Eurovision contests would be so much better if everyone had his attitude. And I can surely say that his act will be the only one I'll remember from the 2003 Eurovision contests. I might remember that Turkey won, Belgium almost won and UK was complete crap, but Alf Poier will inhabit a little wittle cloud in my head for some time.

Especially Finland should take note, except go a step further. Finland has traditionally produced only crap, so next year we should just go and nominate Lordi. Victory would be the only option.

ALF! Doesn't his raw animal magnetism simply seep from this picture?

The man is clearly handling the contest with the respect it deserves; none.

not everyone. this would become too boring soon. one or two performers per competition, but not too many. we also need singers taking the UK part. how about Finland next year?

KaZaa offers a 47 MB video of Alf poier. downloading it right now.

When we're not in we do it in spirit.

                          Amen, brother Stefu!

And Alf only lost due to some inexplicable weakness towards the end of voting. It's been a conspiracy, I tell ya!
“Now we declare… that the law-making power or the first and real effective source of law is the people or the body of citizens or the prevailing part of the people according to its election or its will expressed in general convention by vote, commanding or deciding that something be done or omitted in regard to human civil acts under penalty or temporal punishment….” (Marsilius of Padua, „Defensor Pacis“, AD 1324)

                            Preach it, brother Hersh!

Europeans just don't understand good music when they hear it.

I use this phrase often these days; maybe it's nostalgia, but:

                              Amen, brother Kropotkin!

Edit: Damn, Roland beat me to it!
