Is this like, perpetual electricity ?
Could you explain for the lay-person?

It is similar but not perpetual electricty. It requires an initial impulse of power, but it will continue to create electricity until the parts fall out of tolerance or fail. It is still just a mechanical device, but uses longitudinal electromagnetic waves.

I must be prescient, because this looks like another silly perpetual motion machine schemes.

"It uses alternate collapsing of magnetic fields to create electricity from an initial one time impulse from a battery to set up an initial field."

You can't collapse the magnetic fields of permanent magnets without destroying them. You can't set up magnetic fields with impulses. More precisely, you can, but the field lasts as long as the electric pulse.

                Now hold on, Hydey.

This might be pretty cool after all.
Will it put the utility companies out of business?

No the utility companies will buy the rights to it and we will never hear of it again

It will probably go the way of cold fusion, and all people knowledgeable of it will be killed.

Ok, so correct me if I'm wrong...

You give it an initial charge of some electricity, then you leave it alone and it continues to produce power on it's own. What part of "you can't get more power back than what you put in" don't you understand.

To quote Homer Simpson, "In this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics!!"

...DAAAA but da magnetic feelds make morre energie and stufff so it is coool and maks lotz of power and stuff.

Well, if you pay a midget to move the magnets around, then you would have a potentially limitless supply of electricity at your disposal, until your midget starves to death, or gets a cramp, or whatever.
