No way Notre Dame is going to join. They're too proud, and too stubborn. In the Big East, they would be the Big Fish. In the Big Ten, they wouldn't necessarily have top billing.

Pittsburgh is a real possibility. I hadn't heard the 'Cuse rumor... is Syracuse a member of the AAU?

Expanding the conference to areas where there is not strong "brand" identification, or disrupting existing home-home series on which the conference is built will dilute the value of the contract. I don't see why the ACC is putting $28 mil at risk for the sake of $6-8 mil.

I agree as well, and this is why Duke and UNC don't want expansion. They love their home and home series every year. It packs the seats and makes them tons.
