Why in God's name do we have dentists? Surely their job could be performed by a standard family doctor? There are various specialisms within medicine, but dentistry seems to somewhat 'apart' from the rest of the medical world

I wonder why in films all english people are portrayed as having London or upper class accents when infact less than 1/3 of the english speak like that
So that Americans can understand the dialogue. It is very difficult for Americans to understand some Brit accents.
Besides, all those villains are more believable when they speak with a upper-crust accent.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

actually, a dentist's job is very hard, and AFAIK, they're not MDs, they're are dental doctors, not medical doctors.
I've paid for a root canal, that included a series of around 5 treatements ( in which I had a piece of my gum burned off, and a ceramic tooth carved out to replace my dead tooth) around 100$. The clinic is private and not government subsidized, the job lasted for a total of around 3 hours.
Do you think that dental jobs are expensive here? I want to compare prices.

$100 is nothing. A trip to the dentist, cleaning, and a quick look by the dentist costs you $120 here.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. "What is the definition of equations which can only be solved numerically? Or is it arbitrary?"
Now what do you mean by what their definition is? Do you mean what their name is?
Well, I know the opposite of solving numerically (that is, solving exactly, if you want) is called solving algebraicaly.
In general it's a bit more complicated. Very few families of equations have been proved to be unsolvable and even then it is always by very specific means. For example the general quintic is unsolvable by radicals.

I meant if there's any criteria as for which equations are solvable algebraically and which are only numerically solvable ones.
x (sin x) = 26 is only solvable numerically for instance, but does it exist a set of rules to quickly determine which are and which are not? Or does the nature of each specific case have to be determined independently?

Most energy would of course go into the electrolysis of water to provide hydrogen.
a) Be subject to a considerable amount of loss, beaming it back to Earth, and

I HAVE A QWESTION!
Hypothetically, if two spaceships fly away from each other at greater than half the speed of light, will they still see each other?
Also... if time slows down with the speed of light, if we fell into a black hole, would we ever get there? I mean, if we keep accelerating, we'd keep slowing time down... and eventually, we would be stuck in time due to our high speed and be frozen... right? To us, it is the BEAST.

If the two ships were flying away (as in getting further away) from each other but not 180 degrees away from each other then yes they would see each other; other wise no they would not.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

What is really going to bother you is that you are getting sucked into a black hole and accelerating at such a rate that time slows, then you would also be getting longer in dimension too, to a point where you would infinitly long and also frozen in time and weigh a lot....
Also, if we begin shipping our trash off the planet how long until most of our planet is somewhere else? and what would the change in mass do the orbit, and the galaxy?
