  • does YOUR computer have a name?

I'd always referred to my computer as a she; although, until yesterday, she didn't have a name.

My gf finally suggested a name which i think has stuck: Jezebel.

I'm curious as to whether any of you have names for your computers.

    (hers, btw, is Joy.)

No real name, but I often refer to it as "my machine", which makes it more often feminine, since "machine" is feminine in French. My friends call it "your monster" however.

And what does NUFAN mean ?

Technically, the full computer name is "bobby."

NUFAN = nuffin = nothing. Phonetically.

I think of my computer as female, but it doesn't have a name. Well, technically it does - Skanky - but thats not it's name.

                It's practically stillborn.

i have several machines and a network, and i have a naming system:

desktops are named after communist innuendo. laptops are named after communuist figures.

the machines i have / their specs can be found here: www.r0x0rz.org/boxen

According to Network Properties, mine's called "Paul". Quite appropriate, really.
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.
