  • Put yourself in their shoes

If you could trade places with any Apolytoner for one week, who would it be and why? What would you hope to learn from the experience...what do you think they could learn from your point of view? Whose perspective could teach you the most about 'life'?

    Myself...

Sirotnikov - I'd want to know how it is living in Israel. What it means to be Jewish. How it feels with the knowledge that my life is in a lot of danger which I don't have too much control over. I'd wonder if it would effect my political stances at all, or my stance towards Arab-Israeli conflict. In my own mind I doubt it would, but I think it would be nice to have that first hand perspective.

Provost Harrison - I'd like to experience first hand what he feels when he talks about women, unemployment, the hell on Earth which is Kingston-upon-Hull. What it is like to be a brit.

MtG - Four words. "Let Them Eat Cake!"

Dissident - the guy just intrigues me. I'm not sure what his life is like, or if it's as strange as he makes it out to be. I think he'd have a pretty interesting perspective.

    Asher - Homosexual Canadian anti-social hermit...now that's a perspective I could use

    and of course...

Albert Speer - Just to find out why his views are so god damn ****ed up, and if the 'urban conservative revolution' he talks so much about is really on the rise, or just some fascisistic wet dream. I'd want to see what it feels like living in harsher conditions and not being able to do much about it. I think he could do well to get his ass out of the city and see that being a 'suburban' doesn't mean that you're a stuck up ******* who wants to keep the black man down.

Slowwhand. I'd visit his 2nd cousin all the time.

Ming. I'd make you feel my wrath!

Flubber. To know what it feels like to be a proud dad of a new born child.

Sprayber. I want to be this for the most. He's still in Iraq, right?
    In da butt.

*honoured to be on the list*

      Interesting questios.

MTG to be sure. If anything just to have the knowledge of everything . I'm pretty close to that now, but not quite up to his level.

Not Ming- his career sounds boring. Sorry ming

Zykla- he seems to have a pretty whacked out life

Fez- curiosity how he came to those political beliefs

Sava- same as Fez- but on the opposite end of the scale

There may be more I cannot think of. Especially the Apolytoners who are abroad in other countries. I know some are in China, and S. Korea.

Though both of those perspectives might scar me for life

I find strange, eccentric people interesting.

Speer: Just so twisted he's cool.

            Sava: Ultra-lefty, but not repulsive.

            Diss: Strange person.

JohnT: Wanna know what it's like to be a daddy.

            orange: Strange person.

            MtG: knows lots of stuff.

            Spiffor: Lives in France.

            Tassadar: Strange person.

Two persons come to mind immediately. Ming, feeling how is it to live as a rich, educated and intelligent American. And Velociryx, how the heck does he get his great ideas about anything, and... well... anyone who knows him understands .

This week, no could ever entice me to switch . . . The feeling is beyond words

But in the spirit of the thread , if I had no child I could see wanting to switch with a number of people-- IN fact I would think there would be value in every person out there . . . . but to limit it to apolytoners

Boris G -- always wanted to have a better appreciation for classical music

Thorn/EVC , Fez/ Giancarlo -- don't know that I want to BE them, but a peek into their thought processes would be entertaining

JohnT (or some other parent)-- so I would have some experience for the stuff I am about to face

Roland ??-- I don't know that I got the name right but he was a lawyer from somewhere in Europe who seemed very intelligent and knowledgeable ( but does not seem to post any more). I would love to have the immediate and detailed knowledge of other legal systems

                      MTG--encyclopedic knowledge of things military

{a couple of unnamed folks}-- to see if they realize how they seem like rectums on a regular basis

Tiamat or Black Widow-- to experience things from the female prespective

{ a superstrong religious adherent}-- so I could better comprehend the faith of some people
You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

                          Not anti-social, avoidant. There's a big difference.
