  • RIAA working on virus?

I heard from somewhere there planning to release a worm on FTS like Grokster, KaZaa, DC++ (etc) embedded with some of there mp3 music files that destroys the users hard drives if they dont confess by calling a number. Is this true? Isnt it illegal?

Cuz it would figure. I just got into the whole E-donkey, mIRC, File swapping burn music crap.

Always was into Gamez tho (netshark)

If they are, and they do, it's a federal crime.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Didn´t the RIAA approach an Californian Senator just for the purpose of making such things legal for them?

          (Luckily they failed AFAIK)

            A virus embedded inside an MP3? I don't think it's possible.

I'd become a suicide bomber and blow myself up in their headquarters if they destroy my hard drive.

But on the other hand maybe it is just as relevant to ask how important Sava's life is in comparison.

Sava's continued existence provides a much needed ego boost for posters of marginal inteligence.

You are right. Although it is theoretically possible that one (or more) of the MP3 players have a sort of buffer overrun vulnerability which could be exploited to take control of the target computer.

maybe sava has finally found an issue he feels strongly enough to act upon, maybe his giving up his life to save your hard drive and everyone else's hard drive will be a service to humanity and will better the world

Just think of how great this would be! If the RIAA did these they would be sued to death for the damage they caused to users data. Isn't that poetic? The RIAA would be killed by the very users they are seeking to repress.
