Wow, this service has a **** load of classical music. No more struggling to find Beethoven sonatas.
Have you tried EMusic.com? Monthly fee with no limit on downloads, and open MP3 files (no DRM ), and while I'm not into classical it looks like they've got a pretty good selection of it themselves.
Also you get a 50-song free trial

I'd never download enough to make a subscription worthwhile. I just download certain piano sonatas now and again so I can listen to them before I try to learn them. I don't sight read that well.

Upon closer inspection, there's only one. "Unwell (Live Acoustic)".
It'll show up on kazaa sooner or later.

It'll be awhile; somehow has to figure out Apple's copy protection scheme first.
It's already done.
All you need to do is record the sound output while the file is playing.

How much does the sound quality suffer using that method?
None at all (unless you reencode, in which case there'd be trivial changes).
It's a strictly digital capture.
I don't know how you'd do it on the Mac, but on my computer I've used it before. The program just intercepts the bitstream being sent to the speakers, saves them to a .wav file.
I've used it to get around WMA stuff (for songs I downloaded), cause they wouldn't let me play them on my MP3 player with the protection on.
