Then, you should try to post in this forum, at least to get 30 posts, which will help you getting rid of the dreaded "Settler" status (most people in the Off-Topic (OT) forum don't bother to look further than that to dub you a DL)
This forum is great, but has a strong community-culture. We welcome newcomers without problems, but newcomers have to accept this culture. The DL dance is one of these cultural features.

I'm mostly into American politics (a strange attraction, considering I'm not even an American) and American history in general - I love stuff like Bronze Age New World and For All Nails, and For All Time before it started to go all silly. I meant : go post in this other subforum of Apolyton for your posts to be counted. Once your postcount reaches 30, your "settler" status disappears, and becomes "chieftain" (which will deter all DL-dancers). Posting in this here subforum of Apolyton (the OT) doesn't increase your postcount at all, so you'll be stuck to "Settler" for all eternity if you don't post elsewhere.

Funny, I'm an American, but I'm really not a fan of US stuff. For TLs, I'm probably best known for my Submission stuff (which is kinda annoying, as that's kind of piggybacking on other people).
