Actually, only half of Maryland is stereotypically rednecky, thank you very much. It's called the eastern shore. I'm on the western portion. And even the eastern shore is cleaner than NYC.Comment

Not an american myself but I have lived long enough in the States to understand the idea. It's a definately yes for me. The times where the States were of significance has passed.

Pride is something that drives us to do better, to have goals, and to accomplish something notable.
Humans are communal creatures, so we naturally have pride at the different community levels as well - that is only natural, and admirable, I believe.Comment
