  • Iraqi Elections: Who Will You Vote For?

Will you vote tactically and sell out your ideals or will you vote for your ideals and to hell with being pragmatic?

A fragile government is on the line.

me orange says Iraqi National Congress...

but me typical Iraqi thinks: I'm a Shiite living in the south, and have been mildly oppressed by the past regimes. The United States is not leaving governing up to us, and plan to stay for a long time. Iran was successful in overthrowing their American puppet Shah in the 70s by going through an Islamic revolution. If the Americans don't leave, this will be the only way to make them leave. I vote for the Shii'te Revolutionary Party. This will also prevent Kurds and Sunnis from oppressing me and mine.

"Umbrella Group with No Support (Iraqi National Congress)"

They don't have much support now, but that can change with time. Che in his thread mentioned the Iraqis will be getting universal health care. If we improve the iraqis' situtation, if we see that they don't starve, if we see their kids get treated when they are sick.... we can gain pro-US sympathy and thus get more support for pro-US parties such as INC

But you don't support it in your own country? Interesting...

I'm not worried about an Islamic revolution that could make life a whole lot more difficult for us in the United States.

I'll vote for either the communists, or the Assyrian nationalists. or maybe the kurd ones.

I have to think this over.

                      Consitutional Monarchy, of course.

Iraq needs order, respect for law, and due process. The hallmarks of constitutional monarchy.

And the king of jordan is backing the heir to the Iraqi throne, prince al-Hassan.
