I have eventually watched Puni Puni Poemi (we've talked about it in the latest Anime Apolyton thread). I haven't been baffled by the level of hysteria thanks to my experience with Excel
But I think the quality is overall lower than FLCL : too many easy jokes, too much emphasis on skin.
FLCL is what one needs for hysterical entertainment
