Anyone familiar with the Asheville area? We may be moving there next year and I'd like to know what kind of tornado activity they have there.
Even here in Florida, I still watch the skies when it thunderstorms. N.C. gets its fair share of twisters, but nothing like Kansas. In the year and a half I've been in Jax, we've had two.
Every spring I have the same nightmare. A wall of tornados are headed my way, and I have to get everyone in the cellar plus the animals and I only have a couple minutes. Not too many tornado's in Asheville though... the mountains are not amenable to the type of air currents needed for tornado formation.Comment
