Yes, I have a problem with people who villify most webcomics and then hold "Ozy and Millie" as some shining example of how to do it right. Especially since "Ozy and Millie" barely passes as Pogo* pastiche to begin with.

    Some good web comics here:

You beat me to it, FP. Elftor is brilliant. Also good is Lost In Appleton, a joke started on the something awful forums. Somebody drew it as a parody of the crappy gaming comics out there, and the goons liked it. So he built a site for it and started making regular comics. Meanwhile, all the goons managed to vote it to the #2 spot on the Top Webcomics List. It's ridiculous and the art is horrible, but he doesn't make a big deal about it; he just tries to make bizarre jokes that come out of nowhere. Funny stuff.

It's almost dead now, though. Hardly every updated anymore.

elftor IS NOT brilliant. Only furry little creatures who like to bump their threads and get spanked by Ming would think so. Seriously, that strip just cries pretentious 16-year-old with potty mouth.

No. The camel-humping one is good.

Elftor had a few funny moments but it got repetitious real quick.

I've said nothing here! Anyway, the main problem with webcomics these day are that they're branching webcomics.

Anyway, for the most part, Elftor belongs to firmly to the infuriating "ha-ha-intentional-badness-is-goodness" camp, being a more violent version of Pokey the Penguin. And I hold that Pokey the Penguin's done it's fair share at webcomic ruination. Damn that Pokey, and damn all the Pokey-lovin' (or pretendin', I don't quite believe people actually love Pokey) Net hipsters.

The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency
"That’s the future of the Democratic Party: providing Republicans with a number of cute (but not that bright) comfort women." - Adam Yoshida, Canada's gift to the world

Actually, you've turned into quite a smart little young centrist. And you more aptly described what I think is trite about elftor. And what rather young precocious types think is innovative or "ba-yud". Only reason I said anything to you was cause red-haired Monk is not here to torture you.

I looked at them and they are even lamer than I imagined. FP, to my superior taste.

Is "Appleton" a reference to Apolyton?

No, it's a reference to Appleton City, the fictional city that Cliff Yablonski of Something Awful fame resides in.

is Cliff Yablonski supposed to be a parody of Maddox? Because as such, it works very well.
