You've got to. Otherwise you can come up with crap like "She should have swam across", or "She could have built a boat herself", or "She could have prayed to God for a drought so that the river would dry up".

They are all feasible, but with such limited scenarios I think hard boundaries (to options) are easier to analyse than ones with soft or no boundaries.

the thing i dont understand is how so many people are ranking L above M. If L shot ronald reagan im sure you would lowered her maybe a notch or two. its the same concept, doing anything to be with your love no matter how misguided and wrong it is.

              Morality
              Friends
              Love
              Sex
              Business

That's probably about right for me.

                F (did nothing wrong)
M (got upset because of her girlfriend took desperate measures just to see him, pathetic dork, but least pathetic of the whole bunch)
L (could have gotten a job, but no, has to take the easy way out. Also being dishonest of not telling M)
B (took advantage of the situation, subhuman cretin)
S (real utter arsewipe of the bunch)

It's not telling the truth that's immoral, it's people's reaction that are. Besides, I don't think these examples are good ones. For example, why insider trading? If I were a company insider, I would have known better to tell such crucial information to outsiders.

orange had said "telling the truth does not equal immorality", I was pointing out that it can be in many circumstances.

It's not telling the truth that's immoral, it's people's reaction that are

And what if you tell the truth knowing full well what their reaction will be or maybe even only tell this truth in order to get that reaction?

F - relationships are to be built on trust, and it is a good friends position to ensure that their friends are in such a relationship
                      B - just making a living
S - hey, supply and demand baby
L - did what she had to do, but compromised her position to do so... in my opinion, she is without morals
M - just a dope for leaving her.

No surprise to me... Yet, I think the test suks since it speaks nothing of the reasoning for the test to judge what I hold highest. Though it has it pretty much right on, S and L I hold on the same level though. Also, I hold morals in high regards, thing is my morals differ from other ppl's.

M-storywise, his g/f screwed him over...literally. He put his trust in her and she went behind his back. Valuewise, morals are what hold society together.

F-The guys friend watched his back and told him what was up. In my view, the friend did nothing wrong. For friends, their next on my list because they help you out when you need help and, quite bluntly, they make life more interesting.

B-the guy was only trying to make a buck. How was he to know what his "clientele" was going to do what she did? Business-hmmm, I guess it this would be next compared to the latter two.

S-this guy's pretty sleazy for doing what he did but in the grand scheme of things, he's not the one who made the final decision. For real life, i guess this would rank above the last pick. Seeing as how it plays more into my belief of what our duty is...

L-she's a hoe. She could have found another way to get across the river but she chose to do the "easy" way. Love??? Have yet to find it...
